A Letter To The Future Of This Place

Premiered at Jerusalem Arts Festival 2023

  • In a large space, three scrolls descend from the ceiling to the floor, bearing sentences of rebuke, love, disappointment, and anger expressed by the public toward the place in which we live.
    The audience is invited to take part in one-on-one conversations, during which their thoughts, memories, critiques, disappointments, and wishes for the land are inscribed onto the scroll, transforming it into a single collective letter.
    Visitors are invited to sit at the interview station and take part in the writing of the letter.

    The work was presented at the Jerusalem Festival of the Arts, the A-Zone (A-Genre) Festival, and at HaMif’al Space in Jerusalem.
